Andrew Sims, CEO, NEC Payments was delighted to support the University of Bahrain by joining as a speaker at the Third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum held on 23rd October 2018.

The event, designed to encourage students, fresh graduates and potential entrepreneurs to start new ventures in the Kingdom of Bahrain, provided a platform for international and local entrepreneurs to share their knowledge, good practices and success stories. In its third edition, this forum examined how potential entrepreneurs can turn an idea into a successful innovative business, and provided guidance to young graduates on the opportunities and rewards of starting a new company.

Commenting on the event, Andrew said “Congratulations to Dr. Mazen Ali and his colleagues on organising such a comprehensive and well-structured event. The Third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum provided a good mix of inspiration and practical advice for the next generation of business leaders in Bahrain”.

Additionally, Andrew was invited by ISACA, one of the sponsors of the forum to present a keynote speech “Practical use cases for Blockchain technology in the Financial Services Industry” at the Capital Club, Manama, Bahrain on the evening of 22nd October 2018.
